How to connect Butt Encoder to CentovaCast
Recently UpdatedFor your live connection to our streaming server, we recommend using the Butt Encoder. However, if you already have some software at your disposal, you can use whichever you prefer.

The use of Butt Encoder is not for creating playlists, but only for connecting your personal computer to the streaming server.
In the program's settings, you can select the audio settings (depending on your sound card), microphone settings, etc.
Before we start setting up the butt encoder, you need to log in to the Centova control panel with your station's credentials.
The login address is: https://live.webhosting4u.gr:2199From the left menu, we need to find the connection details. We select "Quick Links" or "Quick Settings" if you see the management in English

We find the connection details in the table that displays the title "Settings for live connections"

We open Butt and select "settings"

In the new window, we select ADD Server

In the name field, we enter any name we want.
Address: live.webhosting4u.gr
Port: the port as seen in Centova Cast settings
Password: the password we have for the live connection, which we can see from Centova Cast, menu -> Settings -> Live Password:
We select ADD, and go to the next tab AUDIO
We select the sound card that produces sound from the sound card or if you have an external sound device.
In the bitrate, we enter the same as the package we have purchased. For example, if we have a streaming package with 128kbps, then we select 128k
You will notice that as soon as you press add and return to the main screen of Butt, you will see the sound indicator fluctuating.Press the Play button

You will see that you have successfully connected to the streaming server.
