How to make a web forward on a domain?

Sometimes for the needs of our business or subject, we register the same name with different extensions.

We don't want to put content on all the domains we registered. In this case, we use the domain forward to forward one domain to another, and the same can be done for emails.

In this article, we will see 2 methods for domain forward.

- Forwarding domain through the customer area

We login to the customer area.

We find the domain we want to create the forward.

We select domain management

In the new page that will open, we select from the left menu "Domain Forwarders"

To apply the redirection, we need to declare the necessary nameservers.

Without the specific nameservers, the redirection cannot work.

The nameserver setup is necessary for the forward function.

How to declare nameservers for my domain?

After updating the nameservers, we can fill in the necessary fields for the domain forward.

We click "Add & save domain" to complete.

- Forwarding domain through the plesk panel

The forwarding of a domain can be done through the plesk.

It is particularly useful when we want to forward the domain.gr to the domain.com, but we can also have email addresses for the domain.gr

We login to the plesk panel

We click Add Domain

In the new window that opened, we fill in the domain name and in the "Hosting Type" field, we select "Forwading"

We click on the DNS and Email fields to enable all services.

We fill in which domain we want to forward.

We click Add Domain to complete the addition of the domain.

Canceling forwarding and restoring hosting

We can restore the domain to hosting status with the following method

We find the Hosting Settings of the domain

In the selection that says Hosting type, we click "Change"

In the next image, we select "Website Hosting"

We give a username and password and OK

Now our domain is in hosting status and we can upload our website.
