How to Transfer a Domain to WebHosting4U

Transferring a domain name to WebHosting4U is a simple process that usually completes within 5 days.

Before You Begin

Make sure the following conditions are met:

• Your domain was registered at least 60 days ago
• The domain is unlocked at your current registrar
• You have access to the administrative email on file for the domain
• You have obtained the EPP / Auth Code from your current registrar

What is an EPP Code?

The EPP (Extensible Provisioning Protocol) authorization code is a unique password assigned to your domain. It prevents unauthorized transfers. You can obtain it from your current registrar’s control panel or by contacting their support.

Transfer Steps

1. Log in to your Client Area

Go to my.webhosting4u.gr and log in with your account credentials.

2. Navigate to Domain Transfer

Click on Domains in the top menu, then select Transfer a Domain.

3. Enter your domain name and EPP code

Type the domain you wish to transfer (e.g. example.com) and paste the EPP authorization code.

4. Complete the payment

Domain transfers include a 1-year renewal. Choose your payment method and confirm the order.

5. Approve the transfer email

You will receive a confirmation email at the domain’s administrative contact. Click the approval link to proceed.

Important for .GR domains

Greek (.gr / .el) domains use a different transfer process managed by EETT. The transfer typically completes within 24 hours and does not require an EPP code. Contact our support team for assistance.

Transfer Timeline

After you approve the transfer, the process follows this timeline:

• Day 1: Transfer request submitted and verified
• Day 2-5: Current registrar processes the release
• Day 5-7: Domain appears in your WebHosting4U account
